  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am saved.

I wasn't raised in a Christian home and I never learned the importance of God as a child. I had a rough time through out middle school as a young teen. I headed down the wrong path very quickly, but as years passed and I grew older, I slowly pulled myself back onto the path that God had given me.

I got a new job almost a year ago and they listened to the local Christian station there. I listened to the words and I asked myself what is so great about this God that they are all worshipping? Well, God helped me answer that question.

I met a new friend at work. She is only 16 years old, but she has devoted her entire life to Jesus. Jesus is/was first in her life and she taught me so much about him. I felt like I was slowly opening my heart to the possibility that I could accept Jesus as my Savior to.

The problem was that I had so much doubt in my heart. I had so many questions for God. What if he isn't real and I'm just wasting my time? What if Jesus didn't resurrect from the dead? What if Christianity is based on lies all together? Then I said my first prayer. I selfishly asked God to give me a sign, to give me proof, anything to prove his existence.

He not only proved his existence, but he also proved what a loving God he is. I had no right to ask God to give me a sign, but he did it anyways. He cares about me so much that he was willing to give me the sign that I needed so that I could accept Jesus as my Savior! I woke up in the middle of the night and turned around to look at a picture on my wall. Even though I didn't have my glasses on, the picture was very clear. It was Jesus.

Since that night, God has opened my eyes and my heart to so many things. I fully opened my heart to Jesus. I live my life for him and only him. He is first in my life. I feel his love in my heart. I worship him at church and I sing for his glory. I preach to those who are willing to listen and I praise his name to those who are not.
God has opened my eyes and has shown me the beauty of the world and I thank him every day.

I know that I have a long journey ahead of me. I have much more to learn about God and the Bible and everyday my faith becomes stronger. There will be hardships in my life, but I know that Jesus is standing by me. He died on the cross for me and I am saved because of him. :prayer:

YES,Life can be hard?
But,HE loves us very much ,We live in a world of evil,HE understands this and has provide Everything for us ,if we only obey and live in HIS TRUTH?
He wants to teach each of us ,if we only ask?
HE is willing to teach us 24/7 as HE is always near us and waiting , for us to ask!
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Gal 6:5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

1Jn 2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

2Co 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Praise God

I had the same questions as these "The problem was that I had so much doubt in my heart. I had so many questions for God. What if he isn't real and I'm just wasting my time? What if Jesus didn't resurrect from the dead? What if Christianity is based on lies all together?" and more.

While not showing me a sign, he brought me back by the sweet tug (conviction) of the Holy Spirit.
