CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have the same middle name as my great grandmother, my grandmother, and my aunt...Viola.
As a teen, I memorized the entire Greek alphabet and can still say it to this day.
I was the first redhead in my family for many generations. I was switched at birth with an Asian baby, but my mom made the hospital give her the correct baby.
My brother Michael's and my first names mean the same thing...Messenger of God.
When I was a kid, I spent a year and a half in Texas. Incidentally, this is where I came to know the Lord AND (wonder of wonders) where I learned how to swim. This is ironic, as Washington (my home state) has countless rivers, lakes, and streams, and also has the Pacific Ocean...all of these are places people swim.

Cool we have already found commonality between a few of us.
2) I use to read Grace Livingston Hill Christian romances as a teen.
LOL, so did I! I always wished I could be as lovely sans makeup as all those women in those books...but alas, I need a bit of cosmetic help each morning to look my best. The beautiful-without-a-lick-of-makeup thing is what I remember best about those books.
