CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Just" realized? I'd been wondering what happened ... ironic. I myself was recently banned from Christianity.com. Ostensibly it was for a single obscenity on a thread; when that obscenity is "brainf**k", and all further communication (including any avenue for discussion of the decision) is rejected, one wonders about the real sincerity of the organizers. Ah well. I won't be posting back there either.

I will miss his insight.
So many good people have come and gone in my thime here. I find myself taking longer and longer breaks and not posting as often as I once did myself.
I think fighting the good fight wears on one and taking breaks or moving on when one nolonger feels that they can do more good than harm can be good thing, but they are missed just the same.

I'm still here too, but I'm on break for school.
rmwilliamsII was the coolest! By the way rm, (I know you'll read this) I never answered that question when I took my break. Yes it was San Diego State University. I'm an SD native, but I'll be moving over to the east coast soon since my fiance will be going to school there.
I'll see you at other blogs rm. Happy St. Patricks everybody!
