Haha...I would except that you two Anglicans might gang up and submarine my plan to get him into the Lutheran church.
He is surprised by and receptive to our more conservative theology and I found an ELCE church near his home so I'm rather excited. I had no idea the LCMS was represented in the UK.

I'm from a conservative Anglican denomination...I won't stop someone from going to a conservative Church...I welcome it...

Well, it's all icy around here, so I'm staying home today. Nice to be home because of weather and not becuase of the illness that's been dogging me the past week.

I've finished my Valentine present. I got two sets of children's valentine cards -- Scooby Doo for my daughter, who loves SD, and Pirates of the Caribbean for my husband. Then I wrote out 32 different reasons I love them, and filled in the cards. This morning while they slept I went around the house taping up the cards -- the SD ones are down low where the 5 year old can find them, and the Pirates ones are higher.

It will be fun when they wake up and start finding the cards!

My son is taking his "Over the Hedge" cards to school today...no party, but they do get to at least give them out...

i had a snow day yesterday (the school i work at was closed, AND the training i was suppose to go to!!)

today just the training is canceled, so i can go to work & have fun at the valentine's party!! woohoo!!!

yesterday 65 degrees...very nice...almost warm...today 30 degrees....this is south Texas for petes sake...IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE COLD....

My husband and daughter both stayed home today because of the snow. The drifts are outrageous! I'm surprised my daughter's school was called off because when I went to school there, they NEVER called off except for maybe two times my entire schooling!!

we got called of for rain...but never snow and ice...we lost 2 days for snow and ice here about 2 or 3 weeks ago...

I wish I could claim credit for it, but actually I heard the idea on the local Christian music radio station, and I thought it was the sweetest idea. So last night while we were watching TV, I had my notepad out and made my lists, then once everyone was asleep I wrote the things on the cards, and this morning I taped them up all over. *grins happily* My husband has found most of his. I know he's missed the one that's taped to the broadsword hanging on the wall in our dining room, but I think that's the only one of his left.

It's really icy here. Ice will shut us down faster than snow will. When I was growing up in Michigan we were lucky to get one snow/ice day a year. Here in Maryland, people panic at anything more than a dusting. *shakes her head and chuckles* But I don't mind. It's nice to work from home for a day.

Well, this is South Louisiana - and it's supposed to be below freezing on Friday - sitll in the 30s right now!!!

I don't know if groundhog tastes like chicken, but nutria tastes a bit like roast beef - but it is very bony. .and. . .i don't know, I only took one small bite. I am not fond of eating fur bearing mammals!

Yesterday, I started reading Tony Campolo's "Letters to a Young Evangelical." So far, it is a very good book, IMHO!
