CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was one, until I got spiritually attacked by demons that used this in their "obsession" attacks against me...I figure, if it's a film that the Devil enjoys, then it's a good reason to scratch it (and films like it) off my list....but I still remember a great deal about it and own it on DVD (though I don't watch it.) What did you want to know about it?

Don't care about the beliefs of the director or actors.
I enjoyed and still continue to enjoy the film.
Also enjoy Dusk to Dawn, and, Kill Bill Vols. I, II.

Great great film and deserved of its critical acclaim despite what some are saying. Some of the best dialogs ever, and Samuel L. Jackson's greatest role ever.

What I don't like about it is that there are no good and bad guys. They're all bad guys.
Is there any enduring work of great literature, which this might be compare to, where all the characters are evil?

I don't know about literature, but some of the best works on the big screen and small screen have characters all of whom can be considered "bad".
The Godfather and the Sopranos, which many consider to be the best movie of all time and the best television drama of all time respectively, have protagonists almost all of whom can be considered "bad".

These movies are entertaining, but, to me a good movie should be positive. Show more of God's glory, rather than just the bad effects of following Satan.
Being popular or having positive critical reviews does not make a movie a good one. At least from a Christian perspective.

I have seen it several times. Lots of hilarious moments in the movie but too much foul language to really consider watching it again.

The classic criticisms leveled at John Miltons Paradise Lost was that he made Satan a charismatic, interesting, if misguided tragic hero, while God was rather dull at best.
I think its human nature to find evil more interesting that good, even if we recognize that it is bad, and should not be emulated.
That being said, I loved the sound track for Pulp Fiction, and have to agree with skeptic86, there was wonderful dialog in that movie. I think these two things, the musical scoring, and dialog, are Tarantions best skills.
Also, for the record, if you look into L.Ron Hubbards history (at least the bits that have not been obfuscated by the Church of Scientology), he was not a founding father of Satanism in America, the best friend of Crowley, or likely to be a believer of any religion one way or the other. L. Ron Hubbard was a charismatic conman who duped Jack Parsons (the man who did correspond with Crowley, and was a major figure in the Ordo Templi Orientis in the USA) out of a sailboat retail business, and a girlfriend.

I've heard that originally the case was going to contain the stolen diamonds from Reservoir Dogs, but in the end Tarantino decided to make it purposely ambiguous.
