yeah, I had to go out, so while I was driving in my van, and I was chatting to the Lord. It is the whole trust area. Can I really trust him? My head says yes..but my heart is like...NO way.

A Difficult Hill


*** FOOD FOR THOUGHT ***


Researchers at the University of Virginia have found that most people perceive a hill to be steeper than it really is, especially if they are tired or carrying a heavy load. When asked to estimate the slope of a hill, test participants consistently misjudged it, thinking a 10-degree slant was about 30 degrees, and rating a 5-degree slope as nearly 20 degrees. Hardly any of them believed they could be that far off.

When we are burdened and exhausted, even a minor problem can seem too big for us to handle. As we encounter a trial in life, we are tempted to sit down at the base of that difficult hill and stay there, convinced that the grade is too steep for us.

That is why we need the encouragement of God's Word. It draws our attention to our untiring God, who knows our need. Isaiah wrote, "The Creator of the ends of the earth neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might - He increases strength" (Isaiah 40:28-29).

Because we so easily misjudge life's difficulties, we need courage to keep going when we are tempted to quit. Take a step of faith today and join those who depend on the Lord, who run and are not weary, who walk and do not faint (v.31). In His strength, you can conquer any difficult hill.

As we live for Christ and follow Him,
The way may seem quite steep;
But if we trust His grace and strength,
Our steps He will guide and keep.

God always gives enough strength for the next step.


He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.

Gabs, I know we talked about this before. BUT I thought of it last night and again just now. I saw a picture of me with a hard hard hard shell around me...mainly my heart. I 'knew' it was there, but God SHOWED it to me last night...and just brought it back to me again, here when I saw anointedpoetess crying. Ya know, I am to the point, where, instead of hurting God more by my acts of ignoring Him, um...among other things lets say...I am ready to say, Lord, i walk away instead of hurting you more or bringing more disgrace to you.
JUST my thoughts at the moment. Seeing it is UGLY. Knowing it was bothersome, but didn't do as much as seeing it. Know what I mean?

Mellie my dear, dear Mellie, you will never walk away from God because the truth is engraved in your heart. You may be rebellious but you and I both know what that brings so....all you can do is walk as close as you can..tell Him you love Him and ask Him to teach you to trust. I know eventually He will break thru....you love Him I know this for I see His love in you...so forgive yourself as the article I posted said and then let Him chip away at the shell little by little, I know He can.
Mellie don't ever walk away, God loves you so much and I love you too and neither of us want to ever be without you.

It's really hard to explain but I'm in deep oppression and nothing seems to be helping..

Honey, I don't know anything about your earthly father but I sense the he is less than ideal. I can assure of this, God loves you so very much that He sent what was closest to His heart to take our punishment. Love sent Jesus to Calvary. He will never leave you or forsake you. His love for you is pure and holy. He delights in you and wants only good things for you. You can trust Him. You CAN relax in His loving embrace and KNOW that you will be alright because He has promised.

No not crying, not anymore anyway, just so much on my mind and still healing. Much has happened that has changed my life forever and I am mending from all the upheaval, and letting GOD take away the pain. My mind works overtime. I'll be ok.

Gabby sweetie! How was work dear? Very draining and sad at times....I look at the kids and know it just is sad I am enjoying what time is left and giving all I can to them. Gabs sips the cocoa slowly....I loved all of them as much as I could and I see the progress in my teen class, they cry a lot because we dig deeper into the acting exercises in that class...I want to yell, "Take everything I am giving you...remember it now...cause..." I'll be ok...really I just need rest and sleep. I know it will be a new beginning but letting go of the old it is a growing pain that has to be dealt with.
Gabby lies back on stack of huge throw pillows and closes her eyes....maybe we should put on some music I need sweet music with Gods words to soothe my soul.

AP. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have been told so many times that God is NOT like my earthly father, and in my head I know that. BUT it is my heart that seems to be bruised and broken beyond repair. There is a seminar our church is doing in a couple weeks...Ancient Paths it is called. I REALLY want to go to it. I am SERIOUSLY thinking on it. Sounds like exactly what I need right now. SO, we shall see. But I am thinking and praying on these things...cause I can't stand my heart the way it is right now.
