Sir, I asked you for a response and you have not given one. You have not told me why it is a sin to dress up as a princess and walk door-to-door. All you did was make a basically inapplicable analogy.

i dont care whether you think its evil or not. but it is causing some of us to fall, so how do we defeat that? my guess would be with love. and love does not force someone to conform. by shouting louder than another opinion or otherwise.

Banning an evil worship is an impossabily as long as it is a part of a persons heart. Laws won't cut it.



We won't see that happen till our LORD comes again.

First of to jump into the middle of something that I have not been a part of from the beginning is usually not my style. The problem here lies in the fact I have observed some very Judgemental things being said on both sides. My first impression is that Wonder(whatever) is just trying to get a rise out of people by spouting off over used cliche quotes trying to prove they are right and you all are wrong. It was said earlier that this day was not one of God's Holy day's so therefore they would not celebrate. However if you are going to pull that as your trump card you have to also remember that The fourth of July is not a Holy day, That also means you must work on Labor Day , You cannot take flowers to your deceased loved ones on Memorial day either. Also get to cracking and looking up Christ's actual birthdate because it was no where near December 25th research done actually says it was more realisticaly in the spring, Make sure you stop that Easter egg hunting also because in the earlier days when they were trying to meld christianity with Paganism we got the Pagan God of fertility which was a rabbit and they hunted eggs to celebrate. My point is this. Do you really think God put us here to fret and to fight over every little fact? Doing what you people are doing is like looking at your feet when you walk making sure you do not step on any cracks. Eventually you are going to miss the car coming your way. Do you understand when you stand in judgement that God will ask you what you have done with your life and you will list many many things that you have done great in his name. He will then ask you what you have done for yourself. God took his time to meticulously make these strange beings we call man. Do you think he wants us to worry and grumble and constantly watch our step or rejoice in life with happiness. Today's christians get caught up too much in "The Rules". Christ lived his life his entire life did he preach about what was wrong with the people. Not really. He preached about loving each other. Reaching out to the sick and needy. Being around those who have been cast out and showing them love. Not telling us we are going to burn in hell for this sin or that sin. I truely believe that every man believes different. My conviction is not your conviction do not force it on me. This whole thread is null. I will not even say how I believe because I do not want to be impressionable on anyone in this situation. GrungeGirl do you think think that Halloween is bad? In your Heart? Do you feel convicted on this so called "Satan's Holiday". If your answer is No paint your face up and go get some candy. If your answer is yes stay at home. People get hung up on edgy beliefs too much and forget to listen to their hearts. I will say this My father does not celebrate Halloween he is a pastor of a church. My mother however which is a sunday school teacher at the same church and is still married to my father does celebrate. This is an old argument brought back around in the past 3 or 4 years. If you are a christian it is now a edgy concept to renounce all the "Pagan" Holidays. Let me leave you with this. The only way it is Pagan is if you let it be.

Well, another Halloween has come and gone. My dad is a Gideon, so he had the idea of passing out New Testaments as well as candy to everyone who looked old enough to read. That's precisely what my mom did, and I'd say they did more for the Kingdom of God that night than all you anti-Halloween bellyachers did put together.

We all need blind Faith it humbles you and helps you through rough spots. You are more likely to be blessed if you can put all your trust in God. That is beside the point of Halloween though and I have no Idea how it got brought up. WonderWaleye You speak the true word and you quote from the Bible. I happen to know it is a very presumptious thing to do to quote from the bible and assume someone will get the same understanding of the scripture you quote to them. You are pushing a persons thought to believe the way you believe instaed of letting them weigh it out in their own heart and decide what it means. Have you ever thought of speaking with love instead of quotes. We all get it we understand you are a walking Bible and read Biblical philosipher's You quote truth's. I believe that. However when I ask for help I do not want a regurgitated truth. I know what the bible has to say in these situations. I want a person's point of view. I love people I am a people person. Alot of the time it is more of a blessing to me to hear what a person thinks rather than to read the same verses over and over again in the bible. The bible speaks nowhere about Halloween being a sin. If it was important and it was something that was to come don't you think that it would have been in revelations somewhere lol. I can tell you that according to the bible you shouldn't drink soda. You also shouldn't eat more than a fistful of food. You shouldn't drink coffee being that caffine is a drug. Do I follow those practices....no. Do you? Chances are you don't. The Bible has alot of stuff to say. Some of it doesn't make sense in our times. Which does not mean we shouldn't follow it. We have a puzzle to put together considering alot of the Bible is incomplete due to parts being rewritten and lost over time. We as christians do the best with what we have and thank God the most important parts are left in tact. The Gospels. Again where God teaches love and not Judgement. In no way does anyone have a firey mallet and can say to me or anyone else on this forum that I am rejoicing with demons if I celebrate Halloween, Or that I am going to hell less they be Judged. Noone knows another man's heart but God.
