HORROR STORY!

I got up at 5:15 this morning to get to the gym before work... I was really sleepy and almost just reset the alarm to go back to sleep, but being the dedicated person that I am (har har), I got up, got dressed and headed off to the gym in 36 degree weather. I get there and IT IS CLOSED!!!! Boy was I ticked off...

At any rate, got me to work an hour earlier, for ought or naught.

g'morning, everyone.

When I got up for my prayer time this morning, Owen was looking in his bed for his lovey. Once we found it, he wanted snuggles, so I had snuggles instead of prayers. I think God understands.

It's amazing how easy it has been to get up early for my time of prayer and scripture reading. It seems that every morning, I am awake and ready to get out of bed even before the alarm goes off. Praise God!

Actually, my wife has little to do with it...however, my doctor has everything to do with it. I got some pretty bad reads on blood pressure and blood work back in May. Doc said, I can put you on meds or you can loose weight. I said, let me try...

I have lost 46 pounds since May!!! I do the gym 3-4 times a week for an hour and am watching my intake much more closely than in years past.

Last month, bloodwork and blood pressure all read NORMAL! The Lord has shown mercy on me.

Hi Don!!! It was good to finally meet you. And yes, he looks just like his picture and he's just as nice as he comes across here.
I determined one thing at least from my visit. Father always says he can spot when we have 'Greek' visitors, but Greeks can definitely also spot when they have a 'Russian' among them.

ARGH, I literally got home half an hour ago and now dear hubs called and I have to run to pick up some stuff for this thing at squadron tomorrow. I don't think they noticed that he is gone and can't do things but they still call him and wants it done. So I'm going back to where I just came from. NUTS!

Jenn: It was good to meet you, too. You need to join us on Sundays when we have more Russians in attendance, and we can both understand what Father is saying! At least he did warn us that it would be mainly in Greek before he got started.

Plus, as I told you, Sundays are a little more relaxed and take a little longer. Father is a fast-talker, but the rest of us are not.

Greg, is there a "Greek for Dummies" book out there? I had a tough time recognizing when to even cross myself today, and I wished I could recite the Creed and The Lord's Prayer (at least) with the others. Maybe if the book had THAT part written out phonetically, I could have participated more. It was all I could do to keep up with where we were in the service, let alone what part of the prayer we were up to...

Ok, now I need to find the inspiration to clean. Ummm, yea! So I ran out and got the stuff for hubs, but they were missing half the order so YAY, I get to run out there tomorrow again nice and early. GRRRRRRRROWL!
