I believe I am being called to preach but have been trying to avoid the call because I have been afraid. Now it has come the point where I can't avoid it and I think about it all the time. It's what I feel the Lord wants me to do so I prefer to listen to him instead of trying to wait until it goes away. Are there any online minister's available that I can chat with sometime ...besides me having to talk to a local preacher? Can anyone post any advice?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

having such convictions to serve means take the next step to fullfill this heavenly calling, the next step will be reavealed in your devotional time and in your seeing in the Spirit your fit in a need that opens around you GOD bless in JESUS name, what an exciting time this is for you sister !!!

I am called to minister to the people of Peru, where I'll be going shortly. I'm scared to death -- mostly that I'll make a fool out of myself as I have done in the past. The Holy Spirit has been drawing nearer and nearer to me as I take more steps of faith in this direction. I can sense His presence almost all of the time. It is extremely encouraging knowing that God is with you, but it still is scary. The fact is new convert or seasoned apostle, we're all still human. I appreciate how the Apostles in the Bible never forgot that fact. But they also knew what God could do if you let Him work in your life.
