I'm curious to know what kinds of ministries we have represented here.
As for me, I'm the (solo) pastor of a small presbyterian congregation.

Some schools do, I know... it's a recognition of the fact that people in your position have a whole set of expectations put on you. I hope you have that, or perhaps a mentor who has been married to a pastor for awhile and can impart the wisdom of experience. I'm sure that would help both of you adjust.
And just as a side note, did you know that many churches have "parish nurses?" I've seen congregations do outreach with blood pressure screenings and the like. A pretty neat ministry, I think.

I'm a nurse. And I have been a pastor's wife for umm...almost 4 months. He is about to finish his second semester of his M. Div. We might have a lot in common.Maeyken said:I'm a nursebut my fiance is getting his M.Div, and is going to be a pastor, so I'm going to be a pastor's wife. Right now he's a student intern. My Father is the foodservice Director of a christian camp, we all live and work full time on campus (well, I work partime)it is a different sort of full time ministry, still. WE have been here for going on 4 yrs. My dad is starting a non-profit org. for training missions kitchens, for food safty and santiation and budgeting well and planning and recieving new kitchen stuff. It is very exciting. I work as a youth Leader in our church, the youth group has approx. 45 kids but only 25 or so show up on a given youth night. It is good though.I'm curious to know what kinds of ministries we have represented here.
