Wow, where to begin? Do we live in an idiocracy?

Sec. Hegspeth (DOD) ordered that references to DEI be removed from the defense database.
So the images of the Enola Gay were flagged to be removed. It has the word "gay'" in it. But that B-29 bomber was named after the pilot's mother, Enola Gay. It was the bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, a rather significant event in history.

OOPS?

Photos of the Tuskegee Airmen were also flagged with removal. I wonder if they will also flag the Navaho codetalkers who did so much to help the Allied efforts in the Pacific? Maybe it is only white males that can be honored or remembered in images these days. IMHO, the opposite of DEI is white nationalism, which is flourishing under Trump.

I wonder if the Trans-Siberian Orchestra will be asked to play at the Kennedy Center? There are probably some who think it is madeup of tanspeople.

Trump signed a EO that English is the language of the land. I saw this meme which comments on this EO:







Donald gave a SOTU speech this week. My, the litany of lies and tone deaf comments was bizarre. From Fact-checking Trump's 2025 address to Congress:

“We found hundreds of billions of dollars of fraud.”

Nope. The 'wall of receipts' has been adjusted greatly as many of the programs axed were before Trump was president. Musk and his young computer whizzes haven't found that much.
I started a thread about it - DOGE, What a mess it is.
Backlash is apparently having some effect on the Congress, and therefore Trump as Trump dialed back Musk a bit.

Have you ever heard of her?”

There’s no evidence Abrams, the two-time Democratic candidate for Georgia governor, directly received any grant money or engaged in illegal behavior.

Apparrently Donald is unaware that there is more than one Stacy Abrams. He seems unaware of many things.

Thanks to Trump's waffling about tariffs, Wall Street lost any gains that came from the election. Consumer confidence is crumbling as prices are higher since the Inaugeration. Goldman-Sachs upped their view of the odds of a recession.

The European Union has spent more and no, they are not making a loan. Trump was lying about that.

That’s cherry-picking the results of two polls conducted since Trump took office Jan. 20. Another 17 polls during that period describe Americans having strong “wrong track” sentiments.

Last comment about the SOTU speech. Trump said, "The days of rule by unelected bureaucrats are over".
Right - as if Musk is not an unelected bereaucrat.
