  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

With spiritual awareness comes a rebirth, seeing the world of man through new eyes and not being one bit pleased with who we are. We started as animal in nature with a dash of the spirit of God, becoming dual in nature with the ultimate goal of becoming spirit in nature, the goal of the Kingdom.

Man often takes what is new and good and reverts it back to what man has always known. Change doesn't come easy.

Consider. Jesus and religion have little connection with each other. Jesus brings us something new by way of the Kingdom. Religion turns it back to something more recognizable to the fleshy thinking of non-spiritual man. Man makes rituals out of it, just like primitive societies do in their traditions.

This defeats the forward direction Jesus taught and whether Pharisee/Sadducee or Gentile, the religion becomes more important as a result. Changed to once again suit the world of man rather than free mankind from it as intended. Put the Kingdom back into Christianity.
