This World Is Not Our Home

Brothers and Sisters, we must not continue to live our lives as we formally did by practicing sin. Instead, we must embrace our newfound life with eagerness as we wait for the day we will be united with our Lord in heaven because, "You are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens of the saints and members of God's household" (Ephesians 2:19). "For here we do not have a permanent city, but we are looking for the city that is to come" (Hebrews 13:14). Jesus said, "In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am" (John 14:2-3). "Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us be filled with gratitude, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:28-29).
