There Is Unity, Look and See....

Some say politics and the church don't mix I was just thinking well it's so funny how times like these, and the politics of it really brings the church together.

This kind of political thing brings Bible believing Christians together. Think about it, how often do Baptists, Charismatics Catholics & Lutherans (all the Bible believing bothers and sisters) come together in agreement?

I think it's wonderful. Here we are standing together against the grain, the flow, the mindless hype- to stand for Biblical morals. To hear of thousands and thousands agreeing in prayer for the same things, rejoicing together & (though hopefully not) mourning together.

I have great respect for all those who are trying to stand (especially minority brothers and sisters) who are taking these things such as life, abortion, the issues having to do with homosexuality, sexual immorality, the importance for the generations: the Supreme Court. I am humbled to be part of such a group of people whom God has revealed truth to. People who are fighting in prayer, fasting, and trying to share the truth in love. I have great respect for those pastors, who among everything else they're doing- take time to teach their people right from wrong and refuse to bow to pressure around them.

If things don't go the better way, one thing I do know- that persecution & pressing down on God's people/ the real church- only makes us stronger. It will unify us even more (as it has been doing through this election process). As we agree and join together for the main truths & principles of God, the line divides- "the men from the boys" and the real church from the false. It's not going to be about denominations (just like with this political thing), its going to come down to who's going to stay true to the truth (as given in the Bible). Many will claim "Jesus" even as they refuse to agree with & follow what the Bible teaches.

It's going to be rough, but the real divide isn't going be between believers and obviously non believers, or among denominations, but between the apostacy "church" and true believers who put God first.

Mr O and his people have started this thing of critizing God's proven soldiers- such as Dr. James Dobson. Saying the same 'ol :
"Who are they to say this is the only way to practice our faith?" Making people defensive- like "Yea, who are they to say?" "If I wanna call myself a Christian or Catholic (all the while not following what their supposed faith teaches) I can- I can do what ever I want!" "I can take any postion on abortion or homosexuality and call myself any faith or denomination I want!"

We are used to getting this kind of thing from athiests, agnostics, pagans, those who don't claim to believe in or follow any god.
I believe though it's going to get worse in these attacks from those who want to call themselves people of God- who really aren't (shown through their lives). There is going to be even more pressure that you really don't have to follow the Bible. More accusing real Christians of being hateful, judgemental, intolerant, extreme, radical, divisive (when it really is they who are diving the church), legalistic etc...

All the while, the non religious standing by watching the "show". Some will be able to find/tell the real from the fake.

Whew.

I'm also concerned about later I had been praying the past couple days for no riots, no violence. Even if Sen. Obama wins there is a high possiblity for rioting & such- especially in my city. I mean people did it before over far less meaningful things- like stupid basketball games. I'm sure some will try to shoot off guns. I'm just praying for God to cut off that mindlessness etc.

If McCain & Palin wins- God continue to help us, because we all know a bunch of people are going to be real upset, and some who wouldn't mind rioting or doing something violent.
