The Prophecy Of Ezekiel: The War.

The War.

`Therefore, son of man, prophecy and say to Gog, “Thus says the Lord God: “On that day when my people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?

Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army.` (Ez. 38: 14 & 15)

The translators have put in `riding on horses,` but that is not what the Hebrew says.

Horses - Hebrew `cuc` meaning moving rapidly.

Today`s armies do not move so much with horses but with tanks and trucks and fast moving vehicles.

You will come up against my people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.”(Ez. 38: 16)

`Like a cloud,` gives the picture of planes flying in formation in the air like a cloud.

`Thus says the Lord God: “Are you he of whom I have spoken in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied for years in those days that I would bring you against them?” (Ez. 38: 17)

The Prophet Joel spoke about this great army.

`Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains, a people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been nor will ever be any such after them.` (Joel 2: 2)

The Prophet Daniel saw this great power as a beast as it started to arise.

`And suddenly there was another beast, a second like a bear. It was raised up one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: “Arise, devour much flesh! (Dan. 7: 5)
