God`s Appointed Time.
``I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army...` (Ez. 38: 4)
At God`s appointed time He turns the Russian army around and leads them in another direction. The `hook` I believe is their desire for wealth, oil and gas etc.
`After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. (Ez. 38: 8)
God brings this Russian Federation and the other three nations, a massive army, down to the land of Israel. It will be in the time when Israel has been gathered from many countries of the world and are living in their own land, a nation in their own right.
`You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many people with you.` (Ez. 38: 9)
They will be a massive army so large that it looks like its covering the land.
The Motive.
`Thus says the Lord God: On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: I will go against a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates-
to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.` (Ez. 38: 10 - 12)
The region that this Russian Federation invades is the Golan Heights near the Syrian border. It is the only place in Israel that does not have walls. The Israelites have turned the once barren land into a fertile region with farms, livestock, vineyards, fruit trees etc.
All good incentives for the invasion, especially with the great deposits of oil and gas.
