There's this passage about a lion that goes about looking for someone to devour. Sometimes it seems like the sin of someone else entirely engulfs me. If I think about it as a lion, leaving from the mouth is too much work, using the sword of the spirit to leave through the other end is more efficient. However, confessing the sins as my own is far more ... merciful.
