Just read this, interesting & pretty good article some of which relates to what I've been writing here lately:
Big Hollywood » Blog Archive » How Reality TV Pollutes Our Minds
Yes this is becoming a "culture of humiliation". Hmm trying to be "moral" or somewhat- without God. Meaning some will say that it isn't now ok to make fun of or humilate certain groups of people: gays certain minorities etc... but other groups it's ok- people who are overweight, white men, Christians etc...
It's such hypocracy- they may be told at school or in the workplace not to bully or humiliate people... but then you can go home and eat up other people's failings & troubles through reality tv, and watch whatever on youtube/online and then write any kind of nasty cruel obscene comment you want.
So obviously young people these days are really being taught (if through example)
- it's not that being cruel and degrading to someone is wrong- but who you do it to (and maybe when), which makes it acceptable or not. This definately not real morality- and not Jesus way. So therefore it's fake & hypocracy. Not dealing with heart issues at all....
So therefore, there will be more bullies who grow up to be self-centered, immature, rude, obnoxious, abusive men...
and for females more vain, gossip backstabbing, "mean girls" - uh witches-who are proud that they are...
Who are barely able to love their own kids (and heaven help those kids if they are less than "perfect": attractive cool, athleticaly inclined etc.) and certainly not able to teach them character & to be better human beings...
...makes for a great society
