There are evil and awful things that come to mind, as I wake up, this morning; but I need to feed on who You are, O God, and how You are able. And I need to first be attentive to You.
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21)
I have been a failure, and I know that others can have nonfunctional consciences. But never mind how I might compare with others or how I have been. How are we in comparison with Jesus? And feed on how You are able to change us into the likeness of Jesus >
"Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4:17)
"rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4)
By being gentle and quiet in Your love, we can personally share with You and personally submit to You and how You correct us and personally guide us, even all the time. Thank You; amen in the name of Jesus Your Son ! ! !
