Protectionism
It's an interesting term that indicates some sort of resistance to free market globalization. I don't think it's all bad or all good.
Certainly we can be sure that globalization has assisted mankind in certain ways, but, at the same time it damages people and even leads to mass starvation, sometimes malicious mass starvation (such as commonly occurs with socialist revolutions).
It leads to the hoarding of work, which is not explicitly new, but seen in more destructive ways.
What is the economy supposed to do? How did it work in the midst of a tribal societies during times of mild prosperity?
