As a man I tend to be indecisive about everything. This includes decisions about my life, from personal to political. Not yet have I fully accepted a set of beliefs, either way; fearful of being incorrect and wrong, not knowing for certain what is true or right. Also there's the consequences that would result, affecting me and them.
Only help I've received to this problem is to start with what I trust and know. A foundation upon where all else is to lay. Firstly it's clear to me, any problem I have starts with me. If I can't be a person who's capable of handling his life, I certainly can't handle the lives of people. So the personal foundation is the first place I should seek.
As a Christian I've learned maturity takes time and effort, carefully learning the truth and putting it into practice. It involves humble and patient consideration to those who've been there and know more than us. Then it's the trail of trying to understand it ourselves, relating it to our lives. It's not easy or possible to know what we haven't experienced; more difficult to impossible to do being human in the world.
Our existence is having life in an imperfect world, having the past to guide the present and future; the crossing from the known to the unknown. So when I'm personally or politically uncertain, I must remember what I've been told and revealed to me that I know is true and right. After what I don't know will become clearer as questions are asked and answers given. I'm to live with the responsibility I know is given to me, it's that to which I'm accountable regardless if it's personal or political.
