  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Prayer For Contentment

This is a prayer that I definitely need and so I thought I would share what I have written for others with the same struggle. It is essential that we have contentment with life or we will never be satisfied no matter what we have.

Prayer for Contentment

Lord Jesus Christ you knew both how to be abased and how to abound. I ask that you please teach my soul how to be content no matter what my station in life or my circumstances. May I be able to say in truth that you are enough for me. May I fully accept my lot in life and rejoice in the works that you have given me to do in you, not minding the things of the world nor being conformed to the world but minding the things of God. I thank you Lord for being my all in all and I praise you God for you are more than sufficient for me.
