Jesus' ONLY gospel was the Gospel of the Kingdom, which essentially boils down to nothing more than putting the will of the Father before our own (as He did). Our will is corrupt as it is based on selfishness, as the original sin of Eve then Adam showed. All evils in this world come as a result of selfish acts and we are to repent of these ways, shun these ways of man, and follow the will of God. Simple enough that children and the underdogs readily understood. Jesus even said His church would be built ONLY upon the Father's truth, not man's. Something the religion has failed to follow as it constantly evolves. Even those claiming administrative rights over Christianity, at one time rejected God's will, His Kingdom, to re-join the empires of man, thus accepting the offer Jesus refused from the Tempter. Big fail, and they haven't repented yet. So in dealing with the religion, there are a lot of pitfalls of man's creation to avoid, but the narrow path to God's will is simple. His Kingdom will come, His will will be done.
