It can really warp a person's thinking. Hate is a sneaky thing, it can disguise itself too.
I am speaking specifically of hate of a specific church group. Some Christians expend a lot of energy hating on Catholics.
There is some of their teaching that I vehemently oppose, but there is a lot of truth that they have taught too. They recognize who Christ is and I have known a number of them who have a deep love for God and the things of God.
There are those that toss the baby out with the bathwater. They reject key doctrines such as the Trinity because it is 'catholic'.
Hate can do that to the person.
