The hymns of my childhood stay with me forever. The lyrics and music are so profound, so beautiful, they really help me in my hours of doubt. I'm not a naturally holy person but these hymns make me feel reverence for the Lord. Awe and reverence. I don't get that much from modern day music. Music since the seventies really. Not much guitar music inspires me. I love organ music. I only need to hear one instrument. The organ. And then those incredible lyrics!
