Looks like a lot has changed on this forum since I have been here last. My old blog is gone for some reason, so it is saying this is my first one. I haven't been on here much since starting full time at my community support job at the end of April. I was part time for a few months before that. I like it though and the people I work with are nice.
I still consider myself a minister, though not one in the traditional sense. I don't want to go back to the pulpit and even turned down a chance to preach last Sunday. My ministry is more 1 to 1 as I help people. The mental health work that I do seems tailor made for that kind of work. Though at times I wonder if I am doing any good at all. I think we can underestimate what just being a part of someone's life and being a good influence can do for a person.
