My thoughts

I know I have been pretty silent, and I hope and pray that God will help me stay that way. I almost messed it by getting riled up about a video I saw and was about to post it. I am just trying to keep the bigger picture in mind.

I personally am not nuetral about this whole immigration issue, but I am so trying to stay out of it this time around. I've decided that there are other issues that are clearly more Biblical and need to be addressed- mainly LIFE issues. Since there is such a huge hispanic population including a large church and possibly Christian one, I don't want to risk pushing them the wrong way because of this other issue. Of course I'm praying this doesn't become an idol to them, that they don't put this issue ahead of Biblical principles (like it seems many in the black community have).
After like a month of obnoxious liberal mouths falsely declaring (and trying to continue to brainwash others who don't look into things for themselves) that the Tea partiers ( yea, not using their insulting rude obnxious expression for the group) are a violent group, violent racist people who condone violence & hate blah blah blah. They kept wanting to push this at every turn. Ha, however they couldn't provide evidence of this- even at the monetary encouragement of Breitbart...
That one time at the height of their being upset over the passing of the healthcare mess & the heart of all - traitor Stupeck and more tax payer abortion promotion funding.... ok some people were rightly upset and shouting some things...but there is no proof racial insults were hurled.
Aside from that the Tea rallies have been tame, much more low key.

OK then fast forward to the day after the law in AZ was passed-check out the film footage of the protesters/rioters running around shouting & throwing things (Like bottles at police officers)...
SO where'd all that talk about "let's just talk calmly & without emotion." go??? Where'd the hatred for protesting & violence go?
The hypocracy just reeeks!!!
Hey, as for real violence- how about the violence against the people in AZ, the rancher who was killed, agents injured & or killed, all the theft, vandalism & kidnappings by illegals?
When it's for issues that liberals think are important like war & immigration whatever it's ok to show your emotions, to be loud, to protest, to carry insulting graphic signs, it's ok to sometimes use violent expressions- or claim those expressions are understandable and justified (ug but not for the case over innocent babies being slaughtered? I'm not even saying that should be applied but just showing the hypocracy).
Back to this issue- to sum it up I believe in securing the borders as complete as you can with all the latest technology etc. No you can't deport 10 million people who are here illegally but you can deport some of them- especailly those with crimminal records. I thought of the example of speeding. Practically everyone speeds (not my hubby though- drives people crazy). Just because most people do it, that doesn't mean we don't have a law against it. Even though they can't catch everyone, that doesn't mean police shouldn't try to enforce the law. Same with illegal downloading, millions do it and they say the companies will never catch you so why not. Well sometimes companies do go after some- to make an example of them.
So hey, the law in AZ is basically the same as the federal law- JUST ENFORCE THE LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS! This shows the stupidity and decption of the liberal mindset when NBC said something like- how horrible "this new law in AZ is going to actually make illegals - illegal", lol.
Is that like trying to figure out the definition of the word is?
I've actually softened up the past yr or so, I may now be open to opening up some more in regards to what what Bush had wanted, like a guest worker program.
In case people didn't read the law (which they didn't) which was basically the same as the national laws on dealing with illegals... AZ tweeked it to make the defintions even clearer. Sorry Mr. Obama, but it wasn't about just "stopping people on their way to get ice cream" (try a little harder to provoke people won't you Mr President (and I use that word loosely)
They could only have their ID information checked in the process of the police dealing with them over crimminal activity- not just walking to get ice cream.
Like my hubby mentioned they already ask to see peoples iDs if the get pulled over for speeding or something.
And I look at it this way:
Yes there are poor people, people with familes who want to work, who need work, who can't find jobs. Kids are hungry and need clothes etc... Yes but I say those such familes are in many areas- not just Mexico.
I saw a pic of some hispanic looking guy carrying a sign talking about "We demand our rights- the right to healthcare, education, jobs (all the benefits of ebing a US citizen) etc. and then it mentioned something like AZ better watch out or we will pick up our guns"...
This kind of attitude was really big last year when a whole bunch turned out to take off work and protest in the streets saying the same things, " We demand, We demand!!! Uh if you are here illegally how can you "demand" anything? That sure turned a lot of people off, includnig my hubby.
Anyway my hubby is big on blaming US businesses though. I say ok if we need workers so bad, why don't we fully close up the border, enforce the laws and open up immigration more- to people from many countries- not just Mexico. People in places like the Phillipines, Africa, Haiti, Slavic countries etc. are despirately in need of jobs as well, they too have hungry kids to feed.
Many people have been waiting, for a long time to get in here - the right way. To me that isn't justice- that all these should just get a pass, when others are in need too???

Yes we know a lot of Hispanics, some Mexicans. My "policy" is like "don't ask don't tell" lol. I'n not going to ask or bring it up and I don't want to know- I do have a conscience to deal with ( that is connected to my relationship with God). Actually it talks about such a way of dealing with things, in Corinthians. Like if the unsaved asks you over you go along with it but if they say the food was offered up to idols then you have to refuse- for conscience sake.
lol its not that I like to look the other way about things, but hey I have enough ( or feel like I do ) trying to take a stand for whatever that is already out in the open and clear... I don't go willing looking to get involved in some complicated mess...
I'm just going to try to not to talk about it with certain people...because there are bigger "causes" at stake.
I just pray as always that God with deal with peoples consciences, to do the right thing.
