If you dont know already prayer is a very very powerful tool. A tool that the Kingdom of Darkness would love to take away from you and everyone else. They draw people away from prayer by some of the following:
*God doesnt hear you.
*your talking to yourself.
*He doesnt want to hear from you, your a filthy sinner.
*There is no God.
*He wont help you.
*You have fallen too far away from God.
These are some of the things that the enemy will try to put in your head.
Praying for the Saints (Gods People), communing with God is very important. He calls us into this deep, intimate relationship with Him. We were meant to fellowship with Him.
The first thing we should do, is get right with Him. We should confess our sins and repent for our sins.
He did not lead us into a life of disobediance.
There are alot of people who pray and often times they do not get what they asked for.
God doesnt have to give us everything we want. As a parent would you give your child every single thing you desire? I sure hope not
Its good to remember that God is not a magic Genie. Nor is He santa clause..
We should be praying for our loved ones, spiritual Gifts,faith, help against spiritual warfare so forth , those are a few things that we can pray for, definitly not limited to. It was used as an example.
What we should be praying for is stuff according to His Will by faith. Faith is such a huge thing with prayer, it really is.
1John 5:14-15
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."
How do you know Gods Will?
Good way of knowing what Gods will is from what ive experianced is through fasting and letting God talk through scriptures.
When we pray we should have faith that our Father in heaven hears us.
