I can really identify with Moses when he resisted God's request to tell the Pharaoh he wanted The Israelites free to leave Egypt. . He was not confident in public speaking or speaking to authority either. So Aaron did the speaking for him.
My voice is just not resonant enough. Too much anxiety and I never really learnt to project my voice.
But what do I learn form reading the early Exodus chapters?
1. God believes in us, even we don't believe in ourselves. Sometimes we have to just do it, even we lack confidence.
2. The Pharaoh was the bad guy in the story for sure. Power corrupts?
3. Talking with God involves speaking and listening. A dialogue.
4. Be patient with God. It might look like he has abandoned you in your hour of need. When suffering seems to increase instead of easing. But if you stay true, maintain your fidelity, things will work out in the end. How much do we trust God?
