Jesus opened the door to something previously unavailable, life after death... not open to all, but only to those repentant of the self serving ways of mankind. God will stamp out any adversarial spirits, elohim or human alike, that have chosen not to switch allegiance. Most, unfortunately have not, still preferring the adversarial self serving ways of this soon to be extinct world as the process continues.
It has been the Father's main mission from the start to rid existence of adversarial thinking and deeds, first introduced by the rebellious elohim, then followed up by mankind.
As for responsibility, how is it people seem to have skipped over the fact that mankind is quite capable of being adversarial to the will of God without outside influence after Eve had started the trend, followed by hubby who didn't want to sleep on the couch. Our fellow creatures teach their young how to survive in the wild, while humans teach each other how to gain at the expense of others. Not simply just to eat and find shelter as our fellow creatures do, but to plunder the planet and each other and to take what they want, knowing no bounds and without concern as to how, while of course self justifying their actions along the way.
This self interest is the result of the original sin of putting our will ahead of God, where we also employ the same strategy in putting our will over each other for personal gain. God's ancient rules about theft, adultery, etc weren't based on anything else and still hold true today, for those deeds are based on self interest. People need His rules to follow until they can figure out where they've gone wrong all along. Those who shirk responsibility for their actions, self justifying, blaming others, or especially bemoaning the devil made them do it, will find themselves facing no future in the Kingdom established by Jesus. Be in the world we have made in our own image, not of it. Choice.
We, who switch allegiance from this self serving world system to the Kingdom, will find we are a happy by-product of the resulting eternal life through the Father's plan to overcome anything adversarial to His will in creation. Our 'reward' is a result of His overall plan to eliminate adversarial ways, and as a result we have been delivered from the evil which is the greed of self. People will finally have learned, having become 'gods like us', to finally understand how to properly handle the knowledge of good and evil, and certainly not for self benefit. A choice, but not automatic personal salvation just because Jesus opened the door to the Kingdom. Our overall salvation is the Kingdom yes, but personal salvation is the result of us letting God use us as intended, this rather than trying to run the show ourselves.
Although people like to make it all about what's in it for us (still following our old worldly self-centered ways), God's main purpose was not to heal simply the flesh as was done in Jesus' time and possibly at times today, but to heal the disease of adversity within His creation. It's still all about His plan for creation, not selfishly just about us as many wish to believe. Praise God, not just our good fortune at having made the right choice.
