I have been celebrating Michaelmas. I was brought up Non-denominational Protestant. I am not baptized Catholic or anything else. I have been celebrating Michaelmas.
September 29, 2013 I had a good dinner. I was also preparing to leave. I packed up everything I could fit in my Ford F-150 truck. It was a sleepless night. On September 30, 2013, I left Washington State for Tennessee. I haven't been back. When I remember, I have a nice dinner on Michaelmas. It may seem odd, but some of the concepts or ideas you may be reading here, God shepherded me into something, and then I did research, and found out why later in a "Oh Yeah" or "That makes sense" type of way.

Over Twitter the other day, I received, through God, a question about Neo-Paganism.
Today's Question: What has God shown you about Paganism, and Neo-Paganism?
Previous Post in /r/PhilosophyofReligion for the discussion: "Faith and Reason"
Paganism was over with Jesus on the Cross. Jesus Christ is the Master Key. Being God's only begotten son, and working in obedience to The Father, and being one with God, he changed how the spiritual works. Prophet Ezekiel, for example, laid on his side for 390 days for the Siege of Jerusalem. Prophet Ezekiel was acting in obedience, and setting something in the spiritual. Jesus Christ, walking around in obedience, which is complex to discuss so please don't misconstrue this, he changed how the spiritual works.
Before people could get to the Father without the son? Something changed? I have seen that the Pagan false gods.... some..... may have had associations with Angels. Angels have functions. Satan was known as an accuser. Arch Angel Michael as mankind's advocate.
Paganism effectively ended with Christ on the Cross and the resurrection. People still had traditions. A blacksmith may have made his livelihood out of making false idols. Given something in the spiritual changes, it may take time for people to catch on. Christians are to spread the Good News. Christians have a Great Commission. Given some false pagans knew of Jesus Christ, and they rejected him, there may be negative things happening down the line for an entire people. In terms of The Spiritual, paganism ended with Christ. It takes some time for people to catch on and change? People like their holidays and traditions? Some Christians have pointed out that there is a correlation between various pagan holidays and certain Christian holidays. I don't know that the Catholic Church got everything right 100% of the time, but God may have a definition or purpose for certain days. Certain days may have some sort of particular spiritual relevance. All people were under God with Noah. There was a falling away. Men who fell away changed certain traditions?
Neo-Paganism came up around the time that Philosophy of Religion also showed up in the 1970's. Neo-Paganism is directly related to Occult like Golden Dawn, the Golden Dawn which helped build Wicca, and out of the Counter Culture of the 1960's. The Counter Culture where people rejected God and tradition for various gurus and forms of spiritualism. A major Counter Cultural event recently has been Burning Man concert. Burning Man was a pagan Celtic tradition that may have involved human sacrifice. The Holy Ghost is said to be unquentiable fire, and a man with the Holy Ghost may be a burning man or Man on Fire. He sacrificed his life, and bears his cross.
Given a Christian were to say "Christianity is Counter Cultural" in a way to defend the Counter Culture, something they love and a false idol, they would be wrong. They are believing a lie. Christianity is Counter Cultural in that it worked to changed the Culture of Pagans. In India, for example, they used to have a practice of wife burning. When a man died his wife may be burned with him. Christianity helped changed their culture. The Counter Culture in the US and Europe was not Christian. The Counter Culture in the US and Europe represented a falling away.
Today, I celebrate Michaelmas. I usually have a nice meal.

- God doesn't change. (Malachi 3:6-7) His character is the same.
- Certain aspects of how the spiritual has been working may be changed.
