With eyes open, no longer dim
Learning of Jesus Christ
Wholeheartedly I bow to Him
Selfless love sacrificed
Now knowing Him, the reason why
The Father sent Him down
As flesh and bone, ordained to die
For me! to wear Life's crown
A sinner, damned, filthy inside
Destined to endless wrath
Nowhere to run, no place to hide
Along hell's selfish path
Church was full of religious fools
Believing myths galore
Living by faith, by ancient rules
Guiding through Heaven's door
Amidst this fog, hell's winding course
Shameful, lost as could be
The living Christ, Life's Spring, Life's Source
My inner man could see
I'm heading to love forever
Life's last eternal day
No devil, Satan how clever
Will lead my soul astray
No longer wandering stupid
Stumbling lost and blind
Neither fairy tale nor Cupid
Will twist or rule my mind
Christ Jesus blood has set me free
Living completely new
