Leadership 2008, Part 1. - A Couple More Points

This controversy about Sarah Plain and whether she can handle her job and her kids is so hypocritical!:aarh:
I don't think they would even mention it if Sarah was a left-wing liberal.

My opinion, I have come to see it like this:
Not all women & all families are the same. If the husband is OK with it, and that particular woman can handle it (if they are Christian-they believe it's God's will)- then she should go for it.

I think God has given various women ( & their families) that grace, to be able to handle many things, do a certain type(s) of job. When I think about it, even if a woman is able to take care of her family & certain outside job- that doesn't mean she could just take any kind of work...We have to fit into the plan that God has for us.
The rest of Sarah Plains life shows that: she is healthy, has a lot of energy, is able to do a lot of things at one time, and handle pressure, stress & fights. I'm not going to judge her, that's between her, her family & God.

Just like I would hope other moms who decide not to work outside the home shouldn't be judged either. If a woman isn't interested in that she shouldn't be assumed lazy or unambitious. If that's not her focus, if that's not what she's called to...

It seems obvious that God has ordained this moment in time for Sarah Palin. Her and her family have been prepared for this, they seem to be in the middle of God's will.
That is the place to be. If a mother steps out and does such a thing, and it's not Gods will- it'll only mess things up.

On the other hand, if God is calling a mom to something like that- and she doesn't and misses God's will, that's going to be trouble as well.

We all got to do what God has called each of to personally. God has a unique will for us as individuals and our families. We need to get off each others back and stop judging (since this doesn't have to do with "sin issues").

*****Another thing that came up today was desperate people digging into her religious beliefs. She does have roots in the Pentecostal church. So do I. She had been long standing in the Assemblies of God. We're attending such a church. If I had to identify with any denomination (or say any is the most accurate) I would say the "Assemblies Of God".

People who don't know,
(kind of like back in the beginning of the early church, false rumors were spread that said Christians were bizarre because they "drank blood") those that don't know may think Pentecostals are part of those "snake handlers". That is the most ridiculous thing!!!:hahaha:

That is like, what, .0001 percent of Pentecostals around the world??? In 20 yrs. I've been in a lot of kinds of churches and gatherings with various kinds of believers, but I have yet to even meet any "snake handlers"!

I think that is practiced by a very small minority in Appalachia. The Assemblies of God are the largest growing Christian denomination world wide- they do not practice, teach or support "snake handling".

As for "speaking in tongues" that is another thing. Yes it is (should be) a normal part of a "Pentecostals life". What does this have to do with judging anything about that person?
There are people who have this "other language" that come in all shapes and sizes: working classes/millionaires, single/big family, highly educated & not so, very involved in church & not as, all races & nationalities.... (even speaking about all the various types of people we know).
Basically it's just another way we pray, another form of praying.

I guess it also has come out that some people think Sarah Palin talks too much about praying???....Well excuse me, good for her! It seems only the strictest of Atheists don't pray. From what I know, most people pray (and think praying has some value) even those who aren't following Jesus.
Ha, so let's keep praying for Sarah Palin... it seems all Hell is being thrown against her (trying to get something to stick)!:prayer:
