I do not support the status quo fairness doctrine. What is the point? The censor the right?
The right is a defense of what is, which, essentially makes it have to defend itself against every radical or activist viewpoint, and that is ridiculous.
Rather, I would prefer to see media be required to present a humanist or conservative viewpoint... One that explains positions from the perspective of typical morality, which is a perspective largely lost in the US media of today... It is also lost in entertainment programing and advertisements, all of which have been recently shown to destroy the morality of children, and thereby, we can extrapolate that there is some damage to adult morality as well.
When the left considers what has occurred in the media, it must consider the deep injustice that has been done to the right...
For instance, when one presents marriage in a historical and natural light, as what it is and has been, why do they have to show another side? That makes no sense. BUT, when an activist come in claiming that their rights are violated... which is an attack on both conservatives and the current system, then those systems should be allowed a defense. The fairness doctrine as it has been applied in the past amounts to forced defamation. And the leftist media amounts to unchallenged defamatory language.
Enjoy!
