We received an email from our second son today. It's so exciting- he's up in Galgary giving a speech to a math convention, and his university here in the U.S. is paying for the whole trip.
He wrote. "Apparently there is a jackrabbit infestation, Those critters are everywhere!
This is a very fragrant university. There's a lot of lilacs and the smell is quite nice.
The idea that Canadians say "a boot" (for about) every other word is just a groundless sterotype. What they actually say is "a boat".
Oh and my phone doesn't work up here. So don't call me or text me."
I am going to email my son and suggest that possibly the jackrabbits like to eat lilacs.
