That life is not about what you make of it but how you handle what it dishes out..
That no matter how hard you try, your good may never be good enough..
That your good intentions can and will be misinterpreted..
That others will continually twist the truth to suit themselves..
That understanding and wisdom are wasted on some..
That some will not take a moment to read to the bottom..
That doing unto others as you would have them do unto you goes over some people's heads..
That giving credit where credit isn't due may be nice but benefits no one in the end..
That some cannot help crying wolf..
That some wrongly enable them when they do..
That standing up against injustice towards an other can be turned against you..
That prayer won't bring you what you want but it'll help you handle what is given..
That giving someone the benefit of the doubt is wasted on the selfish..
That some honestly believe two wrongs make a right..
That standing up for truth means little to those with a vendetta..
That your compassion and forgiveness is more often than not used against you..
That love can definitely be taken advantage of..
That no matter how hard you try to make things run smoothly, someone will always find a way to mess it up..
That others will try to make you responsible for their unhappiness..
That seeing the good in people they refuse to see in themselves can lead to disappointment..
That taking on other's responsibilities benefits no one..
That concern for an other's well being may be the ruin of your own..
That no one can help anyone if all they know how to offer is taking sides..
That not everyone is fair..
That not everyone is mature..
That arrogance is no substitute for intelligence..
That there are a lot of big frogs in small ponds..
That communication is a threat to the insecure..
That reason is wasted on the unreasonable..
That being kept in the dark is a form of control..
That some think their interference is not debatable..
That deceit is a tool of the weak..
That some will see themselves as martyrs to cover their bad choices..
That even with unerring love, faith and optimism, your boat can still sink..
That you can grow used to living with just about anything..
That some people just assume they got to where they are on their own..
That some people are natural roadblocks in life, to themselves and others..
That being backed into a corner can produce frustration and anger..
That in love even if we never stand up for ourselves, we can lose..
That denial is nature's way of avoiding hurt and truth..
That covering up an other's stigma can divert unneeded attention to yourself..
That sometimes pets are of better value that humans..
That dealing with the impossible can wear you out..
That being drawn into an argument can leave you the only one arguing..
That some would rather lose all to feed a grudge, a lie or play victim..
That when there is a hole in your life it need not be filled.
That there are a lot of people who can't stay out of other's business...
That not everyone sees the harm they do..
That whatever is done to you has a way of coming back on the other with interest, good or bad..
AND YET.....
That none of the above need hurt you in any way..
That it is better to feel sorry for THEM than yourself..
That love and compassion is always proportionally it's own reward..
That each year will bring it's share of sorrow and pain..
THAT LIFE WILL NEVER BE ABOUT WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT
...BUT OF HOW YOU HANDLE WHAT IT DISHES OUT!
