(for MG)
You have doubts. You're not sure about this "Christian thing." Does God truly exist? What about the Son of God?
Struggles in faith. I still struggle in my more secular moments. In my dark atheistic moments. But overall, I am feeling more convinced every day.
My conclusion. Work at it. If you seek with all your heart, mind and soul, you will surely find Him. Risk feeling foolish. Risk questioning your own sanity as you pray. Give that part of your mind a rest. The part that needs to see the evidence with your own eyes. Trust the invisible.
What I've found is, if you postpone understanding but have faith first. That's the key.
But work at it. Your effort counts. I think God starts to help once He sees us sincerely trying. He rewards persistence and patience. Look at those people who pray all night. You cant complain after giving God about 5 to 10 minutes a day of your precious time, can you?
Effort leads to grace IMO. Not straight away though. In God's time, not your own.
