For what it's worth, sometimes when I see when I see something going on with someone else it helps motivate me to change.
It's good but I don't think it's "the best"
If I or him or whoever start letting time skip here & there...you can bnever get it back...
Ug how I can I be a good example- if I allow myself to fall into the same trap?

Life, time is so limited....Lord help me\us to be sobe-minded as your Word says. Remind me as David said "teach me to number my days"...
We reap what we sow. "If we sow to the flesh we'll reap of the flesh"...
I was reading again today ( and was convicted):
"Do not listen to the words of the prophets who are prophesying to you
They are leading you into futility;
They speak a vision of their own imagination, Not from the mouth of the LORD. 17"They keep saying to those who despise Me,'The LORD has said, "You will have peace"';And as for everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart,
They say, 'Calamity will not come upon you.'
.....22"But if they had stood in My council,
Then they would have announced My words to My people,And would have turned them back from their evil way And from the evil of their deeds. 23"Am I a God who is near," declares the LORD,
"And not a God far off?
"Can a man hide himself in hiding places
So I do not see him?" declares the LORD "Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?" declares the LORD.
...in order to get more perceptive of reality & truth, I have to "stand in the council of the Lord". And, in order to do that I have to resist the flesh & it's complacency & laziness and put aside stupid worthless distractions and spend more time w\ Him and things of Spiritual value.
It's just like w\ junk food. You can think about how you're going to stop eating it or cut back- but the test comes in the walk- when it's there in front of you and you turn it down. It's so easy to walk by and put some garbage or fluff into your mouth- almost without thinking. Same w worthless media. To me the best way to not eat the junk food, is to not even bring it into the house.
Keep reminding myself of what's "Way Beyond Myself"...We only get one shot...
