Hope so.....Part 2

Romans 15:13
“ Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

A couple of days ago I came across this particular verse and for whatever reason I have decided that I will take the next couple of days and write about. It is my hope not to take this verse out of context but to bring out it's hidden treasures. Originally, when I began writing about this verse I wanted to just talk about "hope", however, the more I looked into this verse I realized there is some rich facts about this verse that makes it come alive.

God is the author of hope and because of this truth it has lead me to this belief that God Himself is full of hope, that was the original intent of the last post. With that being stated I wanted to clarify myself just to make sure we are on the same page. First and foremost, since God is "The God of Hope" let us be reminded that He is full of "hope" that is why He is the God of it. It is like we say God is love, well it goes so much deeper than that. Though God is love, it is in His nature to love but He too is the "God of Love"! Does this make sense?

Now the intent of the last post was also to relate how hope is infused into our lives by the "God of Hope"; to point He longs for His own creation to realize He hopes that they will realize that He longs for us. He has a longing in His own life for us to want Him and when we come to a place where we want to be with Him this fills His life with enjoy and sheer satisfaction. With this thought, "hope" wells up even in the heart of God. Though He is God, He too has this intense longing of obtainment, to know that His own creation has acknowledge Him, not only as God but also as the perfect Father. This was the intent of the last post.

Here are the facts: God is "hope" but He also "hopes"! I stated earlier that God is love, but He also loves. God hopes for His creation to want to be with Him. God has given the gift of "hope" to all of us because we are made in His image, meaning if He hopes then we can hope. So on our next post, I want to bring out the next portion of this verse: "fill you with all joy", I can't wait to discuss that because I too want to know what it means to be filled with "all joy". WOW! Until next time......
