God Walked the Earth as Jesus Some Two Millennia Ago
Jesus gathered together a motley crew who followed him during his brief stay (in the flesh) among men on earth. Noticeably, Jesus didn’t choose people who were popular, nor the rich and wealthy, nor other successful figures, in the furtherance of his ministry. Jesus almost always picked the poor, the broken, and the faithful as central figures in his work among us. These choices alone seemed to terribly confuse the Pharisees. Other religious leaders of the time were equally perplexed as they observed what a cast of characters the proclaimed Savior had assembled.
God Uses Ordinary People In Extraordinary Ways For His Glory
Looking back on Jesus' life, as told through the prism of God's word, the Bible, it's evident that it mattered not to Jesus where these people came from, nor what they had done, nor who they used to be. Not in the least, for Jesus used all people for the good of His will. Here are but a few of the many examples spoken of in the Bible:
You are worthy enough! Jesus used many flawed people to share Hope to an imperfect world. In Jesus we find renewal and mending of our broken spirits. Jesus came to equip the called, not just call the equipped. Jesus met the cross so that no matter what we've been through in life, we can faithfully rely on that same power from our savior, Christ our LORD.
Love God. Love your neighbor. Repent and follow Jesus; and ye shall be saved.
