Ok, as some of you may know my grandma just told us December 23 that she has the second worst skin cancer that you get. I just want to shed a little light on what kind of person she is and he is.
You see, when I was little my mom and dad got devorced, mom didn't want us and they said that they were going to seperate us and stick each of us 3 girls in to foster homes.
Grandma and Grandpa stepped in and took us during the day while my dad worked so that he could keep us. Grandma gave up her job as a nurse, and they also gave up the property they were going to buy in order to help my dad out.
They made sure they took us to church every sunday and wednesday so that we may grow to have a salvation knowledge of God. Grandpa would give us each a quarter to place in the offerings to teach us how to tithe. I know this sounds like a small gesture, but it made a life changing differance in 3 little girls lives. They showed love to a broken family whom knew no such thing.
Over the years they continued their selfless act and continued to put us above themselves. They watch my little girl and don't charge me. When my car was stolen they loaned me the money to buy another car. When my sisters porch collapsed grandpa rushed right over and built them a new one. There love and selfless acts continue. Im very very close to my grandma and grandpa, and now I have to sit out the 13th day of this month and await the word on grandmas condition. If they don't get it all then there is nothing more the dr.s can do and its then in Gods hands.
This unknowing is the hardest thing I have had to deal with. I have to miss work and I wont know the results until that evening. Im not really sure what Im going to do, Im nervouse and scared all at the same time. Anyways I just wanted to give people a scence of whom these people are....these heroes.
