"The equinox is a sign saying that the New Year is right around the corner"
The fall equinox was Sept 22, that would make the October New Moon the genuine feast of trumpets. (Of course in a Jubilee year some say that Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur are on the same day, don't know about that.)
