  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God's way is the right way...

It is a way of life too... Just like it was righteous of Noah not only to have faith in what God required of him but to do it.
Genesis 7:1
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
When Abraham asked if the righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah were going to be doomed along with the wicked, Abraham was asking about those who were good people living in the faith in the city. Maybe not perfectly righteously like Yeshua did when He walked the earth. But righteous in comparison...
Genesis 18:23
And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
righteousness comes in the way things are handled in life..
Leviticus 19:15
Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
In order to know what God considers righteous, one needs to learn from Him.
Deuteronomy 1:16
And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.
It was the very thing that made Israel so great in the eyes of God..
Deuteronomy 4:8
And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
but it was also their downfall.. because they thought that they could do it without His Spirit and in their own strength..
Deuteronomy 6:25
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
They jumped on a bandwagon before they truly knew what God was really asking of them.
Deuteronomy 9:6
Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
Now we are in the same position, to do things our way and declare it right, or to do it His Way and know He is right.
