I’ll start with this definition, used by many modern Bible web sites.
Knowledge, signifies in general intelligence, understanding
a) the general knowledge of Christian religion
b) the deeper more perfect and enlarged knowledge of this religion, such as belongs to the more advanced
c) esp. of things lawful and unlawful for Christians
d) moral wisdom, such as is seen in right living
I’m going to add my own definition based on previous studies and say that “Gnosis is Knowledge of things that are factual, conceptual and experiential.” And note that The Bible frequently using Gnosis as a metaphor for sexual activity is probably the most noteworthy and common case of experiential knowledge).
