Is the weather going bonkers because of man's use of fossil fuels, et. al., as the disciples of the First Church of Global Warming say? Or is the world in a state of irreversible decay because of man's sin, as the Bible indicates (Romans 8:21)? Are we headed for a climate catastrophe, as the priests, priestesses and prophets of the Latter Day Temple of Doom inform us? Or are we headed for a day when Christ will return, and the heavens will pass away with a great noise, the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up, as the Bible tells us (2 Peter 3:10)?
Is what we are seeing of 'climate change' an indication that we need to alter our ideas about how we use the earth's resources? Or is it an indication that we need to repent of our sins and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for redemption? Some people are very worried about the future of the earth and its destruction, and not at all worried about their future, eternal damnation. They think that a heated earth is the epitome of disaster and never consider a Hell that burns with fire and brimstone, out of which the smoke of the torment of its inhabitants rises forever (Revelation 14:11 and 20:14-15).
I freely admit; we need to be good stewards of the earth. I also boldly declare that we need to worry a lot less about Global Warming and a lot more about eternal fire!!
