Well well This sure is a season for conservative women 
Thinking about some things. The more I look into Christine O'Donnell the more I like her. She kind of reminds me of my daughter: cute, perky, personality, bright yet girley. I think my little girl might grow up to look kinda like her as well (ok maybe a little less white) Doesn't seem quite as strong & tough as Palin but seems able to roll with whatever.
Does that mean she's fit for office no, means she's likeable though. What makes her worthy of choosing is her ideology, her principles, what she stands for, the goals she wants to work towards. Plus she also has experience in politics.
If my daughter was older I'd try to show her more, teach her more about these women and others like them. I feel glad for females around the US, that now they have a good crop of examples out there. Look you can get out there and do what you believe you're supposed to do, you can be confident, firm, smart (without having to be some cold dry moldy broing whatever),principled yet feminine & caring expressing warmth & friendliness\socibility.
You can have a family, and still care about society at large.
Such a difference from the examples that I saw growing up. Ug you had either the Gloria Stienem, Diane Fienstien, Hillary Clinton types- or the Madonna, Joan Jett types. I can't remember anything any female promoting family &\ or conservative values (not that I would've "got it" at the time but still). Hey, we didn't even have a Martha Stuart ( who besides being feminine & into taking care of home traditional stuff- successfully ran her own business and built her own brand. Though, still liberal in beliefs...)
So now I have other examples in and out of the church that I can show my daughter: examples of faith, family, caring, good will & service, character, principle, strength, working hard towards goals, and using other things like intellegence gifts & talents to better life for many instead of just your body,looks, & manipulation just to see how far you can go up the food chain.
At the same time I just read again in Townhall about Sara and the gossip weak article in Vainty. I mean I agree is that all the writer could come up with??? Totally Palin derangement syndrome.
I trust that people of all persuasions could see how lame that was.
Seriously it just encourages those who don't have it in for her, to like her even more.
How soon we forget EVERYONE ELSE that got a pass for more serious things (than one time forgetting to tip someone?). How about John Edwards (who just quiety seemed to slip away into obscurity once the truth came out), Charlie Rangle, Barney Frank, ex Pres. Clinton and all his skirt chasing, adultery lies and shame to his family & the nation? Oh that's right it was just his "personal life" and supposedly had no bearing on his running the country- said nothing about his judgement & character...
It humbles me to Sara out there, speaking her mind and standing up for what she believes. I mean wow what scrutiny she has had to endure. I mean how many of us could handle, put up with and or have nothing dug up about you besides some petty little nothings??? Have people move in next door to you- just to "keep an eye on you" (to find something wrong I'm sure) like Mr. McGuiness? People constantly picking at everything about you, every things you say, every mannerism & quirk (like writing a note to yourself on you hand). I wouldn't want to have that wherever I went, and tons of people just waint to find something to jump on, especially something to try to "prove" you an idiot???
Think of all the famous people including women who do goofy and or foolish things from time to time- and people aren't jumping on those to create some picture some label of that person being stupid. Like what Blago did was foolish but that wasn't the label they hung on him, Etc etc people don't even probe like that in that area. I guess it all depends on what label they want to stick on you- that's what they try to look for signs for.
Palin stupid I don't think so, look what she already achieved. Look how much money she's already earned ( yea I bet a lot of people wish they could be that "stupid") etc. etc. Compared to who? Oprah? Michelle O, Hillary (who keeps up the stereotype well) Lady Ga ga (from what I have seem & heard that person really disgusts me, I wonder if that's how people felt back then about Madonna?)??
But I guess that's the new format, the mold the media & liberals want to stick on any woman who is conservative & even somewhat attactive- they are stupid. I'm sure if they didn't have some attractiveness they'd be making fun of that point.
Anyway who, famous or not could stand up to the kind of scrutiny Palin & her family are enduring? Who could always keep up their gaurd? Who doesn't have any skeletons, or any imperfections? Who remembers everything, says everything right all the time, looks good all the time, makes all the right decisions, has a good attitude all the time???
Even among Christians...so far she's got a great record- she comes up cleaner even more than many in the ministry...
Yep that's one confident, strong, tough lady, praise God for His gifts & grace on her. I need to remind myself of her situation, when I get into a pity mindset- with my whatever couple/few people... I should just remember Sara and all what she stand up to- and keeps standing, and doesn't shut up or back down!

Instead people think that how Lady Gaga or Beyonce, or some freakish rap video, or floats at the gay parade, or the Osbornes, or some other reality tv show- that's normal and how people should live and look like...??? God have mercy on our kids...
