Creation Fest 2010 Vacation

My daughter Rozzlin and I went to Creation Fest N.W in Enmclaw Washington. We left Monday July 19 around 4:30pm. We went down with Dan and Laura Hall from Bible study, and their son Robert and his girlfriend Laura.
The trip started out great we were both so excited, me because it is a road trip and a vacation with one of the 4 most wonderful people I know, and because there were several bands playing there that I really like. Rozzie was excited soley because the Newsboys were playing and she just could not wait to see them. The ride was there was hot but because it was evening it wasn't too bad. We drove for 5 hours to Spokane where we spent the night and picked up Rober (we had his girlfriend with us). Then in the morning we had another 5 hour drive into Enumclaw. This time it was a lot more uncomfortable as it was hot/humid and we do not have A/C in my car but we did not let it bother us. We pumped some good Christian music and sang some random Jesus songs and admired the beautiful scenery along the way. And let me tell you there were times that it was just absolutly breath taking.
We arrived in Enumclaw sometime after 12pm on The 20th. We took that time to rest and more or less spend some time together in fellowship and setting tents us and such. The festival did not start until 4pm on Wednesday. So we got up wednesday morning cooked a good breakfast and then went for a walk down town (it turned out to be about a mile and a half so not bad). When we got back we made lunch got our packs ready and headed down to the festival.
Over the next four days we were up (Rozzie and I) at 6 am every morning; thanks to a beautiful little girl. We grabbed muffins or whatever was quick for breakfast and got our drinks and snacks packed for the day and headed down to the main festival were we spent all day, we did not come back to camp until midnight or one in the morning. So it was litterally go go go. By the time Sunday rolled around we were exhausted....pushed to our limits.
Sunday was our day to sleep in because we did not have to be out of there until noon, however my body had other plans, once again while everyone got to sleep in until 9-10ish I was awake at 6am. I am sick at this point, I am tired and hot....it started the morning out at 70*F. The drive home though memerable was a nightmare. I am sick, my nose hurts from constantly blowing it, it is so miserably hot in the car we are bother beyond tired and we drove 10 hours straight, she wined and complained almost the whole trip, which she has never done before (and we have been traveling since she was 2 months old). There was one point where she literally cried for 150 miles before going off to sleep. We got home around 1:30am. I got our teeth brushed, our jammies on and we went to bed, I was up at 7 that morning and out of bed by 8 to work at 9:30 (though I was a little....alot late :) ).
Despite the hellish ride home we both had a blast and are all ready for next year. God is such an awesome God to bless us with such beauty as we had seen on the way there, there, and on the way home. I am so glad that we got to go on this trip, and I hope it is a memory that she will have for a life time.
