Christ/the Anointed, Promise of the Father = Holy Spirit

KJ Dictionary Definition: CHRIST, n. THE ANOINTED; an appellation given to the Savior of the World, and synonymous with the Hebrew Messiah. It was a custom of antiquity to consecrate persons to Priests and Kings into office by anointing them with oil.

John 7:
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Spirit was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified)
(MY NOTE: Jesus foretells of the giving/out pouring/seal of/with/Christ's indwelling Holy Spirit to be given to believers)

Christ is ANOINTED with the Holy Spirit

Lk 3:22 And "the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him" and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
(MY NOTE: God anointed Jesus was a with an UNLIMITED measure of the Holy Spirit)

Acts 10:38 (A) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power:
(MY NOTE: God ANOINTS Jesus with the HOLY SPIRIT & POWER)

The PROMISE = God's Holy Spirit will be given is made:

Lk 24:49 And, behold, I send ""the promise"" of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high
(MY NOTE: Jesus teaches he will send "the promise" the Father made him)

Jn 4:
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
(MY NOTE: NT commandment laws: See Jn 13:34 & Matt 22:37-40)

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
(MY NOTE: The Comforter/Holy Spirit with stay with you FOREVER!)

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
(MY NOTE: The Spirit of truth/Comforter/Holy Spirit will: dwell-WITH/IN-you)

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
(MY NOTE: Jesus the Faithful, "Promised" [vs 16-17], His coming indwelling Holy Spirit would remain INSIDE you FOREVER!

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for "the promise" of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me
(MY NOTE: Jesus tells them to wait in Jerusalem for "the promise" of the Father)

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days hence.
(MY NOTE: Jesus foretells the giving/baptism/out pouring of His indwelling Holy Spirit to come)

PROMISE Fulfilled

Acts 2:
1 (A) when the day of Pentecost was fully come
(MY NOTE: When the day of Pentecost had fully come: 50 Days after Christ's resurrection)

4 And they were all "filled with the Holy Spirit" and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance
(NOTE: Here it is "filled with the Holy Spirit" the new covenant being given to man begins right here. Christ's baptism with His salvation sealing FOREVER indwelling Holy Spirit)

Act 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear
(MY NOTE: 50 days after Christ's glorification/resurrection. Christ sends the Promise given to Him from the Father = Holy Spirit)

New Covenant Spiritual Seal: Christ's Promise/baptism with the indwelling Holy Spirit

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
(MY NOTE: Christ SEALS believers with Gods promise of the indwelling Holy Spirit)

Rom 8:11 If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
(MY NOTE: God's Spirit dwells in every believer)

Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.
(MY NOTE: God places/seals his love in our hearts via His Holy Spirit given unto us)

1 Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, "and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you"?
(MY NOTE: The Promised Gift of God's Holy Spirit dwells in every believer)

Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is "Christ in you", the hope of glory:
(MY NOTE: Christ/God's Spirit is in you)

Eph 3:6 This mystery is that thru the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of 1 body, & sharers together in the promise "in Christ"
(MY NOTE: Gentiles share in the PROMISED Holy Spirit)

Ehp 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
(MY NOTE: Believers are SEALED Gods Holy Spirit until the day their Adamic corruptible bodies are redeemed & transformed into, eternal, incorruptible Heavenly bodies)

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
(MY NOTE: The Comforter <{translators Capitalized showing deity}= Holy Spirit will abide with you FOREVER)

Israel received many law ordination requirements under Mosaic law. Daily sacrifices, adhere with absolute fidelity to every commandment the Lord gave to the Nation of Israel Deut 28, or be cursed Vs 15-65.

Law ordination requirements Under the NT are LOVE the Father, Son, each other & BELIEVE, Jesus is Lord, died for you sins & rose on the 3rd day.

Only Christ can baptize with His eternal salvation sealing FOREVER indwelling Holy Spirit (Matt 3:11, Mk 1:8 Lk 3:16, Acts 1:5)

Its a spiritual circumcision covenant SEAL done without water or hands (Col 2:1)

Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words: Verb, G4972, sphragizo - "to seal" - is used to indicate

(d) ownership and security, together with destination, Revelation 7:3-Revelation 7:5 (as with the noun in Revelation 7:2; See A); the same three indications are conveyed in Ephesians 1:13, in the metaphor of the "sealing" of believers by the gift of the Holy Spirit, upon believing (i.e., at the time of their regeneration, not after a lapse of time in their spiritual life, "having also believed," not as AV, "after that ye believed;" the aorist participle marks the definiteness and completeness of the act of faith); the idea of destination is stressed by the phrase "the Holy Spirit of promise" (See also Ephesians 1:14); so Ephesians 4:30, "ye were sealed unto the day of redemption;" so in 2 Corinthians 1:22, where the Middle Voice intimates the special interest of the Sealer in His act;
