Once again I am the lone healthy member of the family. I'm NOT complaining about that. it's just an observation. When I get sick I get sick alone. And God knows (He really does
) that I deal with enough chronic conditions that I don't need the flu on top of those things.
Yesterday I cleaned the DR and the LR front windows!
This is 11 YEARS OVERDUE! They were dirty when we moved in 11 YEARS AGO. I did not wash them the (well, I tried) because they are nasty, cheap, horrible health hazzards to work with. Even after washing those 2 yesterday I had to take some Tylenol before bed because they are so physically difficult to work with. My hands were aching and sore and my brain was exhausted from the mental workout. It sounds overly dramatic, doesn't it? Perhaps I'm making it so. But then again, the word "hate", while a strong word, IS an accurate word when it comes to describing those windows. I literally hate them. OK, I can be thankful that they (mostly) keep the chill out during the cold winter, but beyond that I despise them. OK, and they let the sun shine in
, which is always a good thing.
I broke one of the outer storms by accident in the LR window yesterday when it came sliding out of the track and slammed down at the bottom. Guess that's one window I'll never have to clean again. Did I mention before that I hate those windows?
I had a Remicade infusion on Friday. It was a relaxing time. I decided to go with my left hand this time. Kinda weird. I'm not used to experiencing discomfort on my left side. Anyway, Afterward about 1/2 hour later on my way to work I pulled off the band-aid which was on there really tight. At work I looked down at my hand and saw the ugliest weirdest-looking hematoma I've ever seen on the back of my hand. It looked like a marble was under my skin and I was seriously concerned that it might explode and start shooting blood. That's what it looked like might happen. Instead I kept a clear head, massaged it, was gentle in moving my hands and lifting objects, and soon the large lump subsided. Today, 2 days later there is still a lump, much shorter in stature but spread out a bit more than it was originally, plus it is a prettier color now, nice and blue
. I think next time I'll go back to my right hand.
