How swift in life we break the rules
When love for Christ grows cold
We play with time and act like fools
Though time’s more rare than gold
With Christ, a thief hung on a tree

Mankind the church has so deranged
Even the bride grows cold
Stagnant, God’s child can sit and rot

Though God is there, so oft He’s not

If Jesus’ Spirit’s not within
If you don’t’ feel Him there

If born again sounds strange to you

Eternal life is not in view

It’s not from books! The Lord is known
But by The Spirit’s might
For He who’s not of flesh and bone
Is full of Heaven’s Light
Amidst the dead, we can’t remain
When truth we’ve understood

They’re quite content to think...
The Father heard His servants cry
Before His Son was sent
Now man; no longer has to die
If he would but repent
There’s nothing weak, when people turn

With Satan in the lake

God’s truth is all but late
Yet still so oft we hear it said
“Be patient now and wait”
Who run ahead or lag behind
Is not in Jesus’ near

That leads to doubt and fear
Satan through fear and doubt will steal-

Seers, who in due season
